Occupation: Renewals Specialist.
Where did you go? What time of the year was it?
Brighton in July.
How did you choose the destination? What made you want to go?
I have some friends who live in Brighton but I don’t get to see them very often, so I decided to drop them a visit for a catch up.
What did you do?
I went to the beach and swam in the sea, which was cold but good. I also went to the cinema and watched War of the Planet of the Apes (it was brilliant!!). Brighton is quite a fun place to hang out and I did a lot of socialising – the nightlife there is really great and I had a lot of fun.
What was the best thing about your holiday?
One day there was a huge electrical storm and watching it roll in from the beach was amazing. Even though people criticise England for its poor weather, watching it flash over the sea waves was spectacular – a real spectacle!
What was the worst thing about your holiday?
It was a bit windy but otherwise it was perfect.
What was the culture like?
Brighton is a really diverse place and there’s a really good alternative vibe. I think everyone there just wants to have a good time and enjoy themselves.
What are the people like?
Friendly and flamboyant.
Was it expensive to do things e.g. eat out, visit attractions etc.?
Yes, it’s quite pricey.
What would you say to someone looking to buy a holiday home there?
Just go for it – Brighton is a great place.
Would you go back?
Do you have any good tips or advice?
Don’t get freaked out by the unisex toilets. I recommend the sea front bars, they’re great fun!
